Adding Assets to Group

Assets may be assigned to an Asset Group and any given Asset may be assigned to more than one Asset Group.  For example, an Asset may be assigned to an Asset Group named “Tanks” and also assigned to a different Asset Group named “Acid Tanks”

Assets may be assigned to Asset Group one at a time or in bulk by selecting several Assets and assigning them all to a selected Asset Group at the same time.

To assign one or more Assets to an Asset Group follow the steps below.

Navigate to the Assets area:  login to Geoforce, select the “List” tab. It will default to the "Assets" view

Use the List view “Search and filter” capabilities to locate asset(s) you wish to add to your group
Click the “check box” next to each asset which you want to add to your group:

When you have selected the Assets you wish to add to the group, click the “Tools” button just above the Asset list

Select the “Group Assets” icon from the list of Tools

Select the Asset Group to which you wish to add the selected Assets from the drop down list

Click the “Group selected assets” button or click “Cancel” to leave the Assets unassigned

  • Asset Groups can be modified at any point in time, thus, you are free to add and remove Assets from an Asset Group at any time.
